Summary:Photovoltaic generation (PV) systems are being installed at a rapid pace in an attempt to mitigate global warming. There are few restrictions on the choice of installation sites for PV systems, and PV systems can even be installed on the roofs of existing structures. Microgrids can be established by installing PV and battery systems in an office building. In the present study, we examine electric power load leveling of a microgrid with PV power generation and power demand estimation functions. It is shown that the charge and discharge amount of a battery of the microgrid with prediction functions can be reduced by 30% compared to that without prediction functions.
