Summary: | In this paper, we propose an approach to tackle low user experience (UX) awareness considering distributed network applications. For this purpose, we conceived an engine called PAS Engine (Proactive Automatic Semantic Engine). The proposal learns the current user's experience in the use of a service and acts proactively. It aims to avoid degradation of QoE (Quality of Experience) through the utilization of auxiliary data stored in a Knowledge Base (KB). Such context data are used to assess compliance with a Service Level Agreement (SLA), besides supporting management actions with resources in a SoftwareDefined Networking environment with MAPE-K Control Loop functionality. The experiment results indicated that, by acting proactively, it was possible to take better advantage of network resources and significantly reduce the packet loss rate. |
