Summary:Biomedical imaging is an important technique for preclinical diagnosis, medical research and biological studies. Nowadays, the development of different tools for acquiring images yields an explosion in the amount of images, which are difficult to be analyzed in detail. There is hence an increasing necessity to develop new tools for processing, analyzing and utilizing medical and biological images. In this paper, a high-level programming framework for biomedical image analysis is proposed. Example scenarios are provided to demonstrate its usefulness.
