Summary:In Release 10 of TD-LTE-Advanced standard, the technique of relay is introduced to extend the network coverage, improve the cell-edge performance and increase the fairness among users. Resource allocation is an important issue in relay-enhanced TD-LTE-Advanced system, and in this paper, a downlink resource allocation algorithm considering direct link, backhaul link and access link is proposed. The proposed algorithm can be divided into two stages, in the first stage, users' requirement based dynamic frequency portioning algorithm is proposed to allocate frequency resources between Macro UEs and Relay UEs properly, and in the second stage, a backhaul link resource allocation algorithm based on the information of user queue is presented to improve the performance of Relay-UEs. Simulation results show that the proposed algorithm can improve system throughput and increase fairness among different users at the same time.
