Summary: | This paper presents a practical procedure for the determination of high voltage high frequency transformer parameters. Besides, the paper also presents the design of a resonant circuit for the high voltage switched-mode power supply. The non-idealities of the transformers are part of the resonant circuit, were the leakage inductance and winding capacitances of the transformers are associated with the external resonant circuit components. The practical procedure is applied in the design of a switched-mode power supply with 700 W output power, 50 kV output voltage and 45 kHz switching frequency. Experimental results from the laboratory prototype are included. |
