Predicting surface properties of the novel materials Cd (BVI)x(BVI)1−x by their bulk physicochemical properties

Summary:Innovative semiconductor materials, solid substitution solutions CdS x Te 1-x with different composition were produced with the help of improved isothermal diffusion. Bulk and surface physicochemical properties - X-ray, electron-microscopic, UV-spectroscopical, acid-base, and adsorptive ones - were studied. Interrelated regularities "property - composition" were devised. Predictions about the surface properties based on the bulk properties investigation were confirmed.
