Multi-Sensor Image Fusion: Difficulties and Key Techniques
Image fusion is nothing but information fusion on the basis of acquired images. From this understanding, image fusion is not a "pure" image processing problem. Rather, we should pay more attention to the underlying physical mechanism needed by image fusion. In this paper we discuss a few p...

Summary: | Image fusion is nothing but information fusion on the basis of acquired images. From this understanding, image fusion is not a "pure" image processing problem. Rather, we should pay more attention to the underlying physical mechanism needed by image fusion. In this paper we discuss a few primary problems that would be essential in the theory and technique of multi-sensor image fusion. On this basis, we put forward a few research topics that could be challenging for researchers in our area. |
