Experimental study of transformer coupling SSFCL with capacitance load
A ferromagnetic series resonance, which will cause serious resonance over-voltage, exists in load testing of the developing 10 kV/500 A/2500 A transformer coupling solid state fault current limiter (SSFCL) with pure capacitance load. The cause of the resonance is analyzed in detail. The special cont...

Summary: | A ferromagnetic series resonance, which will cause serious resonance over-voltage, exists in load testing of the developing 10 kV/500 A/2500 A transformer coupling solid state fault current limiter (SSFCL) with pure capacitance load. The cause of the resonance is analyzed in detail. The special control strategies, as well as damping resistance to eliminate the harmful resonance are discussed. The effectiveness of the methods is verified by simulation and the real testing. |
