Summary:To achieve the efficiency and safety of the vessel closing in surgery, it is necessary to develop a controllable high-frequency energy system so as to realize a complete and permanent fusion of the vessel lumen. The system is comprised of four main parts: high voltage switching power supply module, radio-frequency (RF) power amplifier module, controller unit and impedance monitor unit. The result indicated that the impedance monitor could continuously measure resistance according to the parameters of voltage and current impacting on the tissue, a precise high voltage DC and a modulated RF energy could be provided by the system, and an adaptive algorithm programmed in the microcontroller could complete the control of all modules. So the generator can automatically sense resistance and use a closed-loop control loop to adjust the voltage and current to keep the output power constant as the tissue of impedance varying in the procedure and decide the time of the deliver energy based on the ideal tissue fusion model.
