Summary: | The ecology and morphological dynamics of the river Elbe in northern Germany is subject of the compound system project founded by the German Ministry of Research. In this context the multifrequency and -polarisation airborne Experimental SAR (E-SAR) system, developed by the German Aerospace Centre, can provide new data for hydrological modeling. The aim of this project is to investigate the use of microwave remote sensing for the determination of hydrological parameters and to distinguish vegetation types and monitor their seasonal change in height and density and their impact on the interferometric surface model. |
