Summary:A novel twelve-pulse rectifier that applies single three-phase diode bridge and current injection technique is presented. The rectifier applies a lossless current injection network and a passive voltage loaded resistance emulator. Optimization of the resistance emulator transformer turns ratio is performed, and resulting waveforms of the rectifier input current and output voltage are the same as in conventional twelve-pulse rectifiers. The input current THD is reduced to 15.22%. The results are experimentally verified on a 2 kW rectifier.
