Summary:This paper proposes a new approach for the detection and location of multiple ground moving targets in the synthetic aperture radar (SAR) system. For multiple targets with various parameters in the scene with weak static clutter, it is difficult to process all the targets simultaneously, such as the estimation and compensation of Doppler frequency centroid, the estimation of Doppler chirp rate and so on. In this article, targets segmentation approach is utilized to separate all the targets from each other so that the interference among the targets can be eliminated and each target can be processed independently. The accumulation of cell magnitudes, peak search approach and Doppler spectrum segmentation approach lay the foundation for the targets segmentation. In addition, Keystone transform is used to correct the range walk and Wigner-Ville distribution combined with Radon transform is applied to estimate the chirp rate. Finally, simulation results are presented to demonstrate the validity of the proposed approach.
