Summary:Space weather is defined as the activities that go in between the Sun - Earth system. Measuring space weather parameters using innovative instruments that are installed near earth is a necessity now. It provides for an accurate and continuous stream of data that is more relevant to what happens close to earth. Compared to satellites and remote measurements tools that are installed farther away from earth, such devices can be easier to build, install, operate and maintain. This presentation gives a qualitative and computational analysis for the assembling process of a suite of space weather measuring instruments that is based on the so - called Near Earth Radiation Detectors (NERD's) technology. The design elements of such detectors include compact electronic circuits to measure important space weather parameters that affect life patterns on earth, which include solar winds activities, cosmic rays, radio signals, localized magnetic and electric fields as well as other standard earth ambient weather parameters such as humidity, temperature, elevation, and pressure. In addition, an outlook for this emerging technology, focusing on its practical feasibility and implementation, will be presented.
