Summary:The supply chain is the most basic core component of the manufacturing system, and it is also the most complex and fragile network system. In the complex VUCA environment, it faces great black swan risk. Once the outbreak directly brings heavy or even fatal blow to the manufacturing industry, so the demand for the resilience of the manufacturing supply chain is one of the focuses of the government and all sectors of society, and the hot topic of academic research. Based on the basic functions of the manufacturing supply chain, this paper analyzes the core characteristics of the manufacturing supply chain toughness and the driving factors of its formation, and builds a manufacturing supply chain toughness structure model to provide reference for the development of the manufacturing industry in the practice of chain reinforcement, solid chain, strong chain and extended chain.
