Summary:A polarization insensitive time modulated frequency selective surface has been presented. Electromagnetic wave, incident on the FSS is modulated upon reflection from the surface. The modulation is achieved by continuously tuning the reflection coefficient of the FSS in a periodic manner. The modulation of single frequency incident EM wave results in generation of several sideband frequency components. The modulation scheme is tuned such that the power of the first sideband frequency component is more than the power of incident frequency component in the reflected wave spectrum.
