Summary:Agricultural residues have been utilized as ecofriendly microwave absorbers for anechoic chamber applications. Grain size of these materials play an important role in determining its absorption properties. In this work, test samples of grinded and milled corn husk have been synthesized and dielectric properties have been measured using transmission line method. This analysis is carried out in X-band and Ku-band. Also, the single layer microwave absorber is modelled in CST microwave studio using the measured value of permittivity, permeability and conductivity. The absorption rate in terms of return loss profile of the milled and grinded corn husk composite with polyester resin is discussed.
