Summary: | A comparison is made of the dynamic characteristics of BPSK signal demodulators based on the Costas and GLSS structures for the initial synchronization mode. The study was carried out by simulation methods on the example of designing a demodulator for a low-orbit satellite communication system with an information transfer rate of 1 Mbit/s. During the simulation, it was shown that the GLSS BPSK demodulator significantly exceeds the Costas BPSK demodulator in synchronization speed. The difference in the initial synchronization time at the maximum initial frequency detuning of 136 kHz at the beginning of the communication session was about 30 times. The calculation showed that the amount of equivalent frequency offset that a GLSS BPSK demodulator can eliminate in a fixed time interval of the initial synchronization is two orders of magnitude greater than a Costas BPSK demodulator. |
