Summary:Charging devices, transferring Data, Video, Audio across devices need different connectors and has seen a revolution starting from USB. Since the advent of USB to the now Thunderbolt TM technology, connecting one to many devices, lightning speed of data-transfers, cost sensitive choices for cables, while aligning to the communication standards and protocols has seen tremendous innovation. Intel is the pioneer and key driver of growth in interfacing standards to the world. In this paper we talk about our strategic growth from USB to Thunderbolt TM and walk through the latest Thunderbolt TM 4.0 technology, challenges to validate devices-n-docks with our primary focus on productizing it as a mature standard to the user community.
