Summary:Technology transfer has become increasingly crucial in the economic development of metropolitan agglomerations. This article examines the temporal and spatial evolution characteristics of technology transfer in the Chengdu-Chongqing Economic Circle using patent trading data between 2001 and 2020. The results show that technology transfers growth rate is 31%. Certain cities are becoming neglected, while others exhibit a "siphon effect," effectively absorbing the patent invention resources of neighboring cities.
