Summary: | This paper adopts the Selective Harmonic Elimination switching strategies to optimize switching angle in a 5-level H-bridge inverter. The modified topology of 5-level H-bridge inverter is developed to increase output "stepped" level with reduced number of power switches. The switching angles of power switches are optimized using Modified Hybrid PSO. The proposed system is compared to several techniques, and it is proved that the new proposed adaptive optimization technique gives the best reduction of harmonic content of 13.55%. It is also proved that the proposed technique is capable of eliminating triplen harmonic in the inverter circuit. |
