Summary:Currently, Wi-Fi (Wireless Fidelity) is essential for communication in everyday life. Even though cellular subscribers have internet access, they generally still access Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi offloading. Wi-Fi development is currently on Wi-FI version 6, which uses two frequencies, 2.4 GHz & 5 GHz. 5.2 GHz frequency is a new frequency. In Indonesia, it is still rare for smartphone devices to be able to access these frequencies. In addition, the higher the frequency, the higher the attenuation. As a result, the signal will be more susceptible to noise. We designed a Wi-Fi antenna with a higher gain to solve this problem. The design is done using High-Frequency Structure Simulator v.13.0. The results of the simulation design are obtained at a frequency of 2.4 GHz, namely Return Loss -18.31 dB, VSWR 1.28, Bandwidth 128 MHz, gain 6.74 dBi, unidirectional radiation pattern, and Beamwidth 107.052o. As for the frequency of 5.2 GHz, the Return Loss value is -16.18 dB, VSWR 1.124, Bandwidth 273 MHz, Gain 9.79 dBi, unidirectional radiation pattern, and Beamwidth 46.17o. The analysis results show that this antenna design is suitable for dual-band Wi-Fi applications.
