Summary:An electrically conductive material with a unique composition was proposed to fill the contact gap to reduce transient resistance and protect a contact connection from oxidation. The actual problem of reducing the contact resistance is solved by a continuous metal coating of the contact surfaces using a plastic conductive material. The technology developed and brought to industrial use makes it possible to significantly reduce contact resistance, protect contact surfaces, and restore previously damaged metal coatings. This technology has found application in electrical installations for processing the contact surfaces of demountable electrical contact connections during the production, installation of new equipment, during scheduled preventive repairs and restoration work, on electrical contact connections of existing electrical equipment in DC and AC circuits. Reducing the resistance of current-carrying elements has a positive effect on energy efficiency indicators. The composition of a plastic electrically conductive material and its properties are investigated. Method of manufacture is described, test results are given.
