Summary:Overloads occurring in computer networks lead to a decrease in the quality of services. Load control in computer networks is an urgent task, which is solved by using various control methods based on the introduction of a prioritization or redundancy mechanism. The choice of an effective control mechanism can be based on the values of probabilistic-temporal characteristics, such as the time of delivery of data packets to the addressee and the probability of data loss when serving in network nodes. The paper discusses simulation modeling as a tool to make a choice in favor of a particular method of network load control.
