A protein which specifically binds to single stranded TTAGGGn repeats

Nuclei from tissues of many vertebrates contain a soluble 37 kd protein which binds with a high degree of specificity to oligonucleotides which contain the G rich strand of the telomertc terminal repeats, TTAGGG. In some tissues this Is an abundant nuclear protein.
