Abstract We aim to develop an autonomous control system for electrically-assisted bicycles. The coexistence of stabilization and pass-tracking for bicycle control is important. Therefore we propose a control strategy based on stabilization control around the equilibrium operated for the bicycle to track the desired pass. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method, we apply it to a simple bicycle model called the Getz model. The effectiveness of the control system is verified through simulation.
