Summary: | There are high range sidelobes for Pseudo-random Code Phase Modulation Continuous Wave (PRC-CW) radar due to the characteristics of the code waveform. In order to suppress the range sidelobes and improve the detection performance, we present a method on the basis of Gold sequence. Given a bunch of Gold coded waveforms, a randomly selected waveform is transmitted. The receiver has the knowledge of the randomly chosen waveform matching with the received signals. After matching filter, received signals at multiple adjacent transmitters are accumulated. The range mainlobes can be accumulated effectively while the range sidelobes can't be accumulated. Therefore the main-sidelobe ratio is improved obviously after accumulation. At last, the simulation validated this result. |
