Summary: | A new C-band inline five-pole microstrip lossy filter centered at 4.9 GHz is at the first time demonstrated in this paper. A flatter passband is achieved by loading resistors on the middle three closed-loop resonators. Using this method, the proposed filter also exhibits a wider upper stopband up to 15 GHz. In order to verify these advantages, a filter prototype is fabricated and tested. Both the measured and simulated results are presented. |
