Impact of Symbol Rate Optimization on 6-bit/4D-Symbol Formats in Dispersion-Unmanaged Link

We numerically investigate the impact of symbol rate optimization (SRO) on 6-bit/4D-symbol formats. Improvement of nonlinear tolerance by SRO is observed for uniformly-distributed QAM and PSK but not for a probabilistically-shaped QAM signal.
