Low Q-factor ring resonators with ultra-low limit of detection based on FFT processing of spectral scanning data

We extend the simulations for sensors with micro-ring resonators and FFT-based processing of the measurement data. We experimentally demonstrate a system with low Q-factor resonators and coarse scanning steps, achieving limit of detection 7·10 -7 RIU.
