Summary:In recent years, many types of mobile radio devices are used in close vicinity of our body. Along with the situation, electromagnetic energy absorption evaluated by specific absorption rate (SAR) radiated from the mobile radio terminal such as cellular phone has been investigated. In this study, changing the point of view, the SAR by a wireless local area network (LAN) router, which is sometimes installed around our body, was evaluated employing numerical calculations and measurements. As a result, the SAR distributions around the antenna were revealed.
