Summary: | When it comes to torque control method, the traditional torque control method where the optimal mode gain is used has been chosen in many wind turbines. One of the major shortcomings of the traditional torque control method is slow response when it applies to large multi-MW wind turbines. Some modified torque control methods have been proposed to make response of multi-MW wind turbines faster. In this paper, a torque control method using a nonlinear parameter of aerodynamic torque for rotor speed is considered among them and the nonlinear parameter is obtained not in real time. Simulation results are presented for a 2MW wind turbine as the obtained nonlinear parameter is applied. |
