Summary:A closed system like video conferencing allows to gather lot of useful information about the input image. The encoder and camera being part of same system, can interact with each other to make better informed encoding decisions and control the image processing in camera to suit encoding needs. In this paper we propose multiple techniques to reduce bitrate and encoder complexity using camera-encoder interactions, to control input image processing and sharing motion, region of interest information.
