Summary: | This paper contains a design approach of a time-modulated concentric ring array for a global terrestrial coverage. The array is designed by optimizing the time switched sequence of the elements while maintaining uniform amplitude. The array considers disk patches as the elements formulated by the cavity model. The particle swarm optimization is utilized as the synthesis strategy. The resulted array reduces the hardware of the antenna array mounted in a satellite system. |
