Summary:In this manuscript, in order to realize a close-up observation for a space target, the biased guidance problem is investigated, which aims to achieve a controlled nonzero minimum relative distance between the space flight vehicle and the target, named as the biased distance. First, the relative motion model is established and the biased guidance control index is proposed, based on which the missing-target-point, where the flight vehicle loses the sight of the target, is given and the phase division of the biased guidance process is determined. Secondly, the biased guidance law based on proportional navigation method is proposed and the Lyapunov stability is proved. Thirdly, the errors of the biased distance caused by the control index and the erroneous detection information are given respectively. Finally, some simulations are carried out to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed biased guidance law and the errors of the biased distance under different conditions are given.
