Summary:The paper presents a simplified human body model which can be used for radio channel investigation in Body Area Networks (BAN). This simplified model can be applied to computer simulation in a wide range of frequencies that are required for the analysis of the Cognitive Radio systems. It can be also easily fabricated and used as a phantom in measurements of cognitive radio channel parameters. The proposed model was compared with a heterogeneous human body model. The results of computer simulation, which were obtained with the finite difference time domain method, are presented.
