Stability analysis of off shore marine current farm connected to grid
This paper presents transient stability analysis of an offshore marine-current farm (MCF) connected to an onshore power grid through conventional ac transmission line and high voltage direct current (HVDC) link. Summary: | This paper presents transient stability analysis of an offshore marine-current farm (MCF) connected to an onshore power grid through conventional ac transmission line and high voltage direct current (HVDC) link. Performances of the studied MCF with SCIG have been analysed in time domain with DIgSILENT Power factory software. A comparison of stability performance of MCF with AC line and HVDC link has been conducted. From this analysis it has been observed that the steady-state and transient stability of MCF is considerably improved with HVDC Link. |
