Summary:The window function plays an essential role in preserving the nonlinearity of the linear ion drift model of a memristor when the applied voltage and frequency are varied. This paper mainly focuses on designing a novel window function using a dynamic parameter suitable for various frequencies. Due to enhanced nonlinearity, the dynamic parameter eliminates the need for large static parameter values employed at high frequencies. The proposed window function is validated extensively by performing various parametric analyses. The pinched hysteresis loop (PHL) is generated using a memristor model incorporated with the proposed window function, which satisfies the desired characteristics of a memristor.
