Summary: | Cell characterization is a topic of particular importance in terms of morphological and functional knowledge of a cell population. Currently, there are several techniques and devices used in both clinical and research settings. Recently, thermal dynamics of a cell has been proposed as viable tool for its characterization. Most of them are mainly based on the evaluation of temperature, heat capacity, thermal diffusivity, and conductivity of the cell. In this work, a device based on pyroelectric effect for cell characterization performed by thermal impedance measurements will be presented. |
