Summary:This study's feasibility analysis of a microgrid took into account the Bangladeshi island of Dublar Char. A scenario-based design for the ideal microgrid system comprised of standalone PV and wind systems has been considered based on the calculated load requirement of the Dublar Char. Following a life cycle cost analysis, the 20% load dependency for PV and battery storage and the 80% load dependency for wind emerged as the best design options for the Dublar Char community. The return on investment is anticipated to be 6.27 years based on a project life of 20 years.
