Summary:when the AC short-circuit fault occurs in the multi-DC feed area, it may cause the failure of multi-DC simultaneous commutation, causing the huge power shortage and affecting the stability of the power grid. Hybrid DC transmission is one of the effective solutions to solve the failure of commutation of conventional DC transmission. This paper introduces the main topology of hybrid DC transmission, expounds the principle of LCC-MMC hybrid DC transmission system, analyzes the fault characteristics of rectifier and inverter stations, and carries out simulation.
