Summary:With the worldwide continuous emergence of traditional and non-traditional security threats, the worldwide maritime transport and related activity have a tendency to face more and more serious threats over time. Making maritime transport safety is obviously significant to the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road. Against this background, this paper presented a methodological approach to study maritime safety assessment in the 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road based on considering interactive coupling of risk factors. Numerical experiment of 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road was carried out to calculate the safety results. Further, the potential impact on maritime safety in 21st-Century Maritime Silk Road is also discussed.
