Summary:A compact reconfigurable antenna for GPS/beidou navigation system application is proposed. Bent strip and sleeve structures are used in the antenna design for size minimization and the PIN diode is used for the antenna frequency reconfiguration. An antenna model with the height of only 39mm (about 1/6 wavelength) is simulated and the parameters are optimized. The simulated results show that the antenna can cover the GPS/beidou navigation system frequency band well.
