Summary: | In this work, we present the measurement setup for conducting Air-to-Ground (A2G) radio channel measurements at millimeter-wave frequencies. We utilize Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) to obtain amplitude of the transmitted signal from the ground station. The weight of the measurement system installed on the UAV is 1.27 kg. A commercially available quadcopter is utilized to carry the equipment and record channel parameters. Based on the measurement results obtained with this measurement equipment further interference studies and link budget calculation can be carried out. Our future steps include measurements in different environments, like urban and rural areas, as well as, developing A2G channel models. |
