Summary:The paper presents a new approach to determining the specified hazard class of substances generated operation of special-purpose vehicles. This approach allows to minimize costs of operating the vehicles by significantly reducing environmental payouts. The main methods used were analytical studies using chemical processes simulations, feasibility study, physical and chemical methods of analysis. An algorithm is proposed for determining the composition of waste, where the component composition is determined following a simplified protocol. The proposed method for assessing the hazard of highly dispersed particles from combustion of energy-rich substances takes into account their dimension. The application of the proposed methods for determining the hazard class of waste and of highly dispersed particles allows to increase the accuracy of the assessment of the waste hazard and tends to downgrade the assigned hazard class, thereby significantly reducing operational costs for special-purpose vehicles.
