Summary:Nowadays, the demand of renewable energies is increasing and their optimal utilization is important field of many researches. In this paper, a new hybrid system consists of a high gain boost dc-dc converter, photovoltaic (PV) system, battery bank, and bidirectional dc-dc converter, is proposed. To improve the performance of proposed hybrid system, a control scheme is suggested by considering incremental conductance (InC) method for achieving the maximum power point tracking (MPPT) of PV system. The battery bank is vital for this system as the PV power generation depends on the solar radiation and environmental temperature. The simulation results are presented using MATLAB/Simulink to verify the operating of hybrid PV/battery system with high gain dc-dc boost converter.
