Summary:This paper is devoted to robust attitude control of spacecraft on the basis of Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy modeling and control techniques, where discrete-time sampled measurements, actuator saturation, and external disturbance are taken into consideration simultaneously. T-S fuzzy model is developed to describe the kinematics and dynamics of spacecraft. Based on T-S fuzzy model, a fuzzy sampled-data controller subject to saturation constraint is proposed to stabilize the attitude of the considered spacecraft. Moreover, -gain performance index is designed to deal with external persistent disturbance. On basis of convex optimization approach, the sufficient conditions for stability analysis and controller synthesis are presented in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Finally, illustrative simulation results are shown to demonstrate the effectiveness and superiority of the developed attitude controller.
