Summary:A mathematical model of the micro-arc oxidation process on the basis of an equivalent electrical circuit taking into account the influence of both external factors (temperature and electrolyte concentration) and micro-discharges has been developed. The parameters calculation of the equivalent circuit on the basis of physical quantities, measured in the course of the process in real time. The proposed model can be used to identify the relationship of the resulting coatings properties from the electrical parameters of the technological mode, as well as to control the process of applying protective oxide coatings on light metals and alloys.
