High Speed Ethernet Transmission over Multicore Fibers for Data Center Applications

We demonstrated the feasibility of supporting > 400 Gb/s ethernet traffic transmission over an 8-core multimode multicore fiber (MM-MCF) and a 4-core single mode multicore fiber (SM-MCF) in distances suitable for datacenter applications using several off-shelf 400GbE transceivers.
