Summary:This article presents a measurement of reaction rates for different reactions in NaCl samples which were irradiated by secondary neutrons from the spallation target. As target materials were used graphite and lead in two separate experiments. The reason for chloride salts utilization is their much lower price in contrast with fluoride salts. Salts are perspective material for cooling in 4th generation of fast reactors including Accelerator Driven System (ADS). The reaction rate measurement of reactions in NaCl is important for chloride salts utilization in ADS where is a quite different neutron spectrum beside fission reactors with a bigger component of high energy neutrons. The problem is that the experimental cross-sections of different possible reactions for those salts are not known therefore simulation could produce inaccurate results.
