Summary: | The paper presents results of work on wireless measurement system dedicated to active magnetic bearing support system for UAV jet engine rotor. Magnetic suspension technology enables continuous diagnostics of rotary machine and eliminates negative properties of classic bearing support system. In the paper, concept of magnetically suspended rotor was presented. Proposed solution consists of two radial magnetic bearings and one axial (thrust) magnetic bearing. Next, design of bearing system for UAV was described and described. Geometric parameters of rotor and loads were assumed according to TS-21 engine parameters. Preliminary studies of monitoring system dedicated to UAV rotor engines were made on laboratory stand with homopolar active magnetic bearing. The monitoring system was based on strain gauges and accelerometers. During research, tensions with wireless data acquisition DAQ system were registered. Measurements were performed for different rotational speed of rotor, control system parameters as well as various disturbances. In the paper some test stand operational characteristics were presented and discussed. |
